Obama expresses regret for remarks on small towns-LA TIMES

In this article in the L.A. Times, Barack Obama is still trying to fight against Hillary Clinton and John McCain, who are using his own words against him in trying to make him look like an unfit candidate for President.

Obama expressed regret Saturday for saying that small-town Americans embittered by job losses cling to religion, guns and hostility toward immigrants to explain their frustrations. Obama had previously spoken in Muncie, Ind. saying, “And now, I didn't say it as well as I should have, because you know the truth is that these traditions that are passed on from generation to generation, those are important."

This article in the L.A. Times had a large focus on Hillary Clinton’s stabs towards Obama and how she is using his words to hurt him and trying to make herself look better. She has used statements such as Clinton said she "grew up in a church-going family."

"The people of faith I know don't cling to religion because they're bitter," she said.

As for guns, she added, "people of all walks of life hunt, and they enjoy doing so because it's an important part of their life, not because they are bitter."
