Opponents Paint Obama as an Elitist- WASHINGTON POST

The Washington Post article, was more fair to Barack Obama then either the L.A. Times or N.Y. Times.

The Washington Post allowed the reader to make a fair decision based on fact. Although the L.A. Times article was short and factual it also left out a significant amount of detail relating to the actual words from Obama. Both The L.A. and New York Times included only the quotes from Obama that Clinton and McCain were picking on. They were unsuccessful at giving the readers the "whole story."

When read the articles from the L.A. and N.Y. Times first, it left me feeling shocked that Barack Obama would say something like that. However, once I saw the article in the Washington Post it didn't seem as harsh.

The Post also agreed with my original thoughts on how it seemed that Clinton and McCain were taking any stab possible to try and hurts Obama's campaign. The Post stated, "The rapid reactions from Clinton and a McCain spokesman suggested that each of Obama's rivals saw an opportunity to drive a wedge between him and working-class voters, who will play instrumental roles in both the primary and general elections in heartland industrial states.
